A pair of magnificent Antique George III Sterling Silver Sauce Tureens with ornate Rococo style chasing embellishing the body and lid of the Tureens. The Silver Tureens stand on 4 opulent feel supporting the body which features an intricate chased design surrounding a shaped cartouche. This chasing shows stylised shell designs and images of birds and lobsters. The lids of the Tureens have impressive finials surrounded by a chased border of scroll and foliate patterning. The handles of the tureens are designed to looked liked shaped branches.

Made in London, England in 1810 by William Pitts.
