Antique Georgian Sterling Silver Lidded Tankard / Beer Mug 1771

A classic Antique George III solid silver Lidded Tankard in a traditional straight sided design. The Tankard has a spread foot and a hinged domed lid and has an engraved crest and monogram opposite the substantial scroll handle. The Tankard has a later engraved message under the base reading 'The unit of Happiness from The International Society October 8th 1902'
The Tankard was made in London in 1771 by Thomas Wallis.

The Tankard has a Full English Hallmark on the side of the body and on the inside of the lid.
This Tankard is in excellent condition with no damage.
