A magnificent pair of Antique George III Solid Silver Wine Coolers / Champagne Coolers ornately embellished with rich chased details. The body of the coolers are chased with border of acanthus leaves around the base and a band of floral and scroll patterning below the rim. The Coolers each have an impressive pair of handles and stand on a spread pedestal foot. The Coolers each have a fitted liner and cape, both of which are fully hallmarked. The Cape is chased with a border of leaves. The Coolers each have an impressive armorial engraved on either side with the motto Audeces Juvo (Help the Brave) inscribed which is that of the Buchanan Family. The cape of each cooler also has a pair of small crests engraved.
